Program Schedule:
Week 1: June 10th-14th, 2024 - Introduction Week and Intern Role Assignments
During the first week, interns will be introduced to the LWood Solutions environment. This will include a comprehensive orientation session, giving them insights into the company's values, mission, and expectations. Interns will be assigned specific roles based on their skills, interests, and the company's needs. This week is crucial for setting the foundation for a successful and engaging internship experience.
Week 2: June 17th-21st, 2024 - Market Research and Case Study Preparation
Interns will dive into market research, gaining valuable insights into industry trends, competitor analysis, and consumer behavior. This week will also involve intensive training on case study preparation. Interns will learn how to analyze and present case studies effectively. The week will culminate in interns presenting their findings to students at the LWood Solutions Diversity Fellowship, providing an opportunity for them to showcase their skills early in the program. Additionally, this week will observe a day off in recognition of Juneteenth.
Week 3: June 24th-28th, 2024 - In-Person Learning Week
This week will be dedicated to in-person learning sessions, where interns will have the chance to engage with industry experts, participate in workshops, and deepen their understanding of marketing, branding, and public relations. The immersive learning experience aims to equip interns with the knowledge necessary for the upcoming real-world projects.
Week 4: July 1st-3rd, 2024 - Virtual Learning and Exploration
Interns will engage in virtual learning sessions, dedicating one hour each day to further enhance their understanding of specific topics relevant to their roles. Simultaneously, an exploration schedule will be published, encouraging interns to discover more about the company, its values, and the diverse opportunities within the organization. This week sets the stage for the practical application of their learning in the upcoming campaign assignments.
Week 5: July 8th-12th, 2024 - First Campaign Assignment
Interns will transition from learning to practical application as they receive their first campaign assignment. This hands-on experience allows interns to apply their knowledge to real-life marketing, branding, and PR projects. The week will focus on strategy development, planning, and initial implementation.
Week 6: July 15th-19th, 2024 - Second Campaign Assignment
Building on the experience gained from the first campaign, interns will receive their second assignment. This week is designed to challenge interns, pushing them to refine their skills, adapt to feedback, and improve their campaign execution. Collaboration and effective teamwork will be emphasized as interns work towards achieving campaign objectives.
Week 7: July 22nd-26th, 2024 - Third and Final Campaign Assignment
The final campaign assignment will test interns' capabilities, creativity, and ability to deliver impactful results. This week serves as the culmination of their internship experience, and interns will be critiqued and graded on their completed campaigns. It's a crucial phase where they demonstrate their growth and development throughout the program.
Week 8: July 29th - August 2nd, 2024 - Final Assignment Reviews, Submission, and Grading
During the last week, interns will submit their final campaign assignments for review and grading. This week also includes a completion luncheon on August 2nd, providing an opportunity for interns to reflect on their journey, share experiences, and celebrate their achievements.
Week 9: August 5th-9th, 2024 - Provider Education, Test, and Certification
For the top-performing interns selected to complete the LWS Institute Provider Program, this week is dedicated to advanced education, a final certification test, and the official certification ceremony. Successful completion of this program grants interns the Service Provider Certification, sponsored by LWood Solutions, unlocking doors to sought-after positions within the company.

Application Process
To apply for this program applicants should prepare the items below to submit on the online application. The deadline to submit applications is April 1st, 2024.
Resume- an up to date resume reflecting educational, workplace, and charitable accomplishments and involvement.
Cover letter- Compose a cover letter addressed to the selections committee (Dear Selections Committee) emphasizing your qualifications for the program and how participating would benefit your professional development.
Letter of Recomendation- Ask a professor, Faculty Member, or Professional Reference to write a short letter of recommendation, suggesting you for the program.
